Exploring the relationships between diverse storytelling and visual presentation, the pieces I design combine printing techniques from my own photography with papercutting, collage, and paint to create dark folkloric narratives.
My earlier concepts are created as exclusive, one-off works of art that are hung in the Saatchi Online Art Gallery based in Los Angeles, California, USA.
My work draws deeply on recycled materials and a fusion of techniques such as printing, mixed papers, gouache, acrylics, watercolors, and papercutting. Inspired by visionaries including Matisse, Gaudí, Dalí, and Hans Christian Andersen, I create new compositions where digital narratives intertwine with tactile craft. My creativity is rooted in a feminist upbringing among strong, working-class Northern women, and shaped by the many books and games that have carried me into bright, new, imagined worlds.
